K.B. Parrish & Co. LLP is not your typical accounting firm, for a variety of reasons.  We provide a wide range of services exclusively for non-public companies and not-for-profit organizations, rather than publicly traded companies.  These services include audits and financial statements, tax preparation and planning, industry-specific consulting, and much more.  With the biggest portion of our client base here in the Midwest, our staff members have a limited amount of over night travel.

Another factor that distinguishes us from other firms is our office atmosphere.  At K.B. Parrish & Co. LLP, the culture is designed to offer challenging work to professionals in a rewarding and educational environment. 

For over ten years, the firm has had one of the highest ratios of CPA’s to total professional staff in the mid-west.  Year in and year out, nearly every one of our professional staff is a CPA.  We attribute that to several factors, including the quality of people that come to work at the firm, and secondly, the experiences and training they receive prepares our professional staff to successfully pass the CPA exam.

Given the need to share information, ideas and best practices, we maintain a state-of-the-art IT system.  We have a full-time IT specialist on staff to maintain the hardware and software we use.  All professionals are provided a laptop computer and can access our servers and data from anyplace in the country. We purchase some of the most sophisticated software used in the industry, and in 2003 began moving to paperless engagements for financial statements and business tax returns.  

Client communication is not only reserved for managers and partners.  Our less experienced staff members are encouraged to develop lasting relationships with their clients by assisting with their needs throughout the year -- not just when Uncle Sam comes knocking on April 15th.  After all, Close Personal Attention is one of the cornerstones of our business.
